What is private label cosmetics manufacturing?
Private label cosmetics manufacturing is the process of sourcing finished cosmetic products from a third-party manufacturer and selling them under your own brand name. MetaCNBeauty handles formulation, production, filling, and packaging. You handle branding, marketing, and sales.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM?
OEM — You provide the formula and specifications. We manufacture to your exact requirements. Best for brands with proprietary formulas.
ODM — You select from our existing ready-to-brand formulas and packaging, then apply your logo and label. Faster, lower cost, MOQ from 100 PCS. Best for new brands and product launches.
Do I need a cosmetics background to start a private label brand?
No. Most MetaCNBeauty clients are first-time brand founders. Our team guides you through product selection, formula review, packaging options, compliance documentation, and branding at every step.
What types of cosmetics can I private label with MetaCNBeauty?

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
MOQ starts from 100 PCS on selected ODM private label products. MOQ for OEM custom formula development is higher and depends on product type and formula complexity.
How much does private label cosmetics manufacturing cost?

Can I order samples before placing a bulk order?
Yes. Regular samples dispatch in 3–5 days ($15–$50). Custom samples with your logo in 7–15 days ($50–$150). Sample fees are credited back in full against your first qualifying bulk order. Request samples →
Are sample fees refundable?
Sample fees are non-refundable but are credited back in full against your first qualifying bulk order. If you proceed to bulk production, you effectively pay nothing for the samples.
Can I mix different products in one order to reach MOQ?
For some ODM products, mixed-shade or mixed-SKU programs are available. Contact us to discuss your specific product mix requirements.
Formula, ingredients & customization
What you can change and what stays standard.
Can I see the full ingredient list (INCI) before ordering?
Yes. MetaCNBeauty publishes full INCI ingredient lists on all product pages. Complete INCI documentation, MSDS, and regulatory compliance documents are provided with every order.
Can I customize the formula?
Yes. Formula adjustments are available for most products, including fragrance-free versions, vegan formula certification, paraben-free formulation, custom shade development, custom fragrance/flavor selection, waterproof enhancement, and active ingredient addition (peptides, botanical extracts, etc.).
Are MetaCNBeauty products vegan and cruelty-free?
Many of our standard ODM formulas are vegan and cruelty-free. This is confirmed on a product-by-product basis. Vegan and cruelty-free certification support is available for brands requiring third-party certification documentation.
Branding & packaging
Logo, label, and packaging customization options.
Can I put my own logo and brand name on the products?
Yes — this is the core of private label manufacturing. MetaCNBeauty's in-house design team supports logo printing, label design, dieline creation, and branded packaging for all private label programs.
What packaging customization options are available?
Custom logo printing on tubes, bottles, and compacts; custom label design and printing; custom tube shape and cap style (for larger orders); custom label finish (matte, gloss, soft-touch); branded outer carton and retail packaging; custom color matching for packaging components.
What file formats do you accept for logo and label artwork?
We accept AI (Adobe Illustrator), PDF, EPS, and high-resolution PNG files. Vector formats (AI, EPS, PDF) are preferred for print production.

Where do you ship from?
All orders ship from Guangzhou, Guangdong, China.
Which countries do you ship to?
MetaCNBeauty ships to 200+ countries worldwide, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, Germany, France, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, and all major beauty markets globally.
What shipping methods are available?
Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS, 3–8 business days), YT Standard (8–15 business days), Air Freight (5–10 business days), and Sea Freight (20–40 business days) for large bulk orders.
Who pays for import duties and customs fees?
The buyer (importer) is responsible for all import duties, customs fees, and local taxes in the destination country. MetaCNBeauty provides full commercial invoices, packing lists, and MSDS documentation to support customs clearance.

US FDA, EU, UK, Amazon, and international market compliance.
Are your products compliant with US FDA regulations?
MetaCNBeauty holds GMPC certification based on U.S. FDA Cosmetic GMP Guidelines (issued by DEKRA, valid 2024–2027). We provide full INCI documentation and MSDS for FDA MoCRA cosmetic facility registration and product listing. We recommend working with a US-based regulatory consultant for full MoCRA compliance.
Are your products compliant with EU cosmetics regulations?
MetaCNBeauty holds ISO 22716:2007 GMP certification (issued by DEKRA, valid 2024–2027) — the standard referenced in EU Cosmetics Regulation EC 1223/2009. EU market entry requires a Responsible Person (RP) and Cosmetic Product Safety Report (CPSR) — we provide the technical documentation to support your RP and CPSR process.

Can your products be sold on Amazon?
Yes. Many MetaCNBeauty clients sell private label cosmetics on Amazon FBA. We provide INCI documentation, MSDS, GMP certificates, COA, and country of origin information required for Amazon cosmetics listings.

How do I get started?

Do you sign NDAs?
Yes. Non-Disclosure Agreements are available on request, particularly for clients engaged in custom OEM formula development programs.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept T/T bank transfer, PayPal, and other methods as agreed at the order stage. A deposit is typically required before production commences, with the balance due before shipment.
Can I work with MetaCNBeauty if I am outside China?
Yes. MetaCNBeauty works with clients in 200+ countries. All communication is handled in English via WhatsApp, WeChat, and email. We have established clients in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Germany, UAE, Southeast Asia, and beyond.
